Welcome to our vacation apartment on the market square in the Bavarian spa town of Bad Reichenhall between Berchtesgaden National Park and the Mozart city of Salzburg in Austria! Our vacation apartment is located at the end of the Poststraße monument ensemble, above a family-run craft business, directly on the picturesque town hall square. This is part of the city's pedestrian zone. The weekly market with a regional assortment takes place here every Friday from 7.00-12.00 am. Various events organized by the Reichenhall RUFO and the town, such as the asparagus festival, town and wine festival, craft market and Christmas market, invite vacation guests and locals to get together. The city lines run from Rathausplatz. The main train station and Kirchberg train station can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.

Environment description

Our apartment is centrally located. The Reichenhall Art Academy can be reached in 2 minutes via the Rathausplatz. The studios are located in the Alte Saline, an industrial monument from the first half of the 19th century. The Old Salt Works in Bad Reichenhall and the salt mine in Berchtesgaden offer exciting and informative information about salt production in our region. The Grande Dame, the oldest cable car in the world, takes you up to the local mountain Predigtstuhl in 8.5 minutes, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the valley basin and go on short hikes. The valley station is approx. 15 minutes' walk from the vacation apartment. The royal spa garden offers oases of peace where you can breathe in the alpine brine air in the Gradierhaus open-air inhalatorium. The pedestrian zone starts directly at the town hall square and invites you to stroll around with its many cafés, restaurants and shopping opportunities. The Rupertustherme can be easily reached by city bus or on foot in approx. 15 minutes. With the guest card, you can use most buses and trains in Berchtesgadener Land and Salzburg free of charge.

Arrival Description

Arrival by car: Coming from the A8, take the Bad Reichenhall exit and drive onto the B20. Follow the signs to Bad Reichenhall B20. Drive in the direction of Bad Reichenhall town center, from Münchner Allee straight ahead to Stachus, from there turn left into Kammerbotenstraße and shortly afterwards left into Poststraße. You have reached your destination. Arrival by train: The train station Bad Reichenhall Kirchberg 600 meters approx. is 9 minutes walk from our accommodation. Arrival by plane: Salzburg Airport is 14 km from the apartment. The accommodation is easy to reach with the Postbus line 260.
