Relax and surf the internet, share your holiday experiences with friends and stay in touch. Our free WLAN is available around the clock so that you can enjoy your holiday to the full. The private terrace invites you to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the unobstructed view of the surrounding nature. Chalet Groissenbach also has a garage with an electric charging station, which not only protects your car but also offers space for your outdoor equipment. The location of our chalet is simply unbeatable - surrounded by majestic peaks and yet only a short walk from the charming shops and restaurants of Reit im Winkl. Whether skiing in winter or hiking in summer - the possibilities for outdoor activities are endless. Climatic health resort Reit im Winkl According to Wikipedia, the title of climatic health resort is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to relaxation and health." Reit im Winkl was named a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly fulfilled the requirements for the expert opinion through its endeavours. Firstly, the altitude, which ensures that the summer heat is moderate and the nights remain pleasantly cool. The town is surrounded by extensive mountain forests in the Chiemgau Alps and is part of the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The character of the weather is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather. In addition to the natural conditions for good air, we actively ensure that the good mountain air is preserved by using natural warmth or offering plenty of buses.
