On a sunny late afternoon in 2007, with a view of the wonderful alpenglow on the Kreuzkofel in South Tyrol, the idea was born to build an Alpine Bergehaus for friends, connoisseurs and lovers of the mountains of this world. The Alpine Bergehaus is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the German mountain landscape, in the Chiemgau, on the edge of the mountain village and climatic health resort of Reit im Winkl. Somewhat exposed on a hill in the adjacent forest, it can be reached via a stream with an unobstructed view of the Wilder Kaiser. Like the mountain huts - ital. Der Witterungscharakter wird entscheidend durch die Gegebenheiten, das heißt durch den Einfluss der Gebirgszüge und der Taleinschnitte auf das Wettergeschehen, bestimmt.Neben den natürlichen Voraussetzungen für gute Luft kümmern wir uns aktiv mit der Naturwärme oder reichlich Bus-Angeboten darum, dass uns die gute Bergluft erhalten bleibt.

By car to Reit im Winkl: Coming from Munich on the A 8 motorway, take the Grabenstätt exit. From there take the Bundesstraße 305 (German Alpine Road) to Reit im Winkl (27km). The Inntal motorway offers an alternative. Turn off shortly before Rosenheim at the "Inntaldreieck" and drive to the Oberaudorf exit. From there, take the Austrian federal road 172 to Reit im Winkl. Coming from Salzburg, take the motorway (A 8) to the Inzell-Ruhpolding exit and continue via Ruhpolding to Reit im Winkl. By train to Reit im Winkl: The nearest train station is in Prien am Chiemsee. From here you have the best bus connections (RVO bus line 9505) to Reit im Winkl. By plane: Munich Airport is approx. 140 km and Salzburg Airport approx. 70 km from Reit im Winkl.
