From our holiday flat Adlerhorst-Ruhpolding you can easily reach the centre of Ruhpolding on foot. The house is in an absolutely quiet location - nothing will disturb your rest. Hiking, cycling, paragliding, golf are popular options in summer and cross-country skiing, ice skating and also alpine skiing are in winter. Outside the front door you will find an individual parking space for your vehicle. Skis, prams and bicycles can be parked downstairs in the hallway. Environment description

Ruhpolding is a popular holiday resort in the Chiemgau Alps for summer and winter. Summer season: The mountains call for mountain hiking, mountain biking, e-biking, paragliding and golfing. Or the nearby Chiemsee for relaxing. From the Rauschberg or Hochfelln, in good weather, you can enjoy an outstanding panoramic view deep into the Alps or as far as Landshut. You can get up there by a 3.5-hour hike (1000 metres in altitude) or by cable car. Other popular destinations are the Unternberg, the Hörndlwand or the Staubfall as a crossing into Austria. The best mountain air and first-class water everywhere. From May to the beginning of October a continuous pleasure for all nature lovers. Mountain biking or cycling tours into the surrounding countryside are possible almost everywhere. A flying school for hang-gliders and a golf course complete the offer. About the host

Your host is a private person who owns the entire house Am Adlerhügel 9. After a fulfilled working life as an engineer, he now devotes himself entirely to travelling through Europe with his motorhome and renting out holiday apartments. He is a staunch supporter of Bavaria and the Chiemgau.

The prices quoted do not include the tourist tax applicable during your stay. This is 2.90 Euro per adult (aged 16 and over) per night and 1.70 Euro per child aged 6-15 per night. No tourist tax is charged for children aged 0 - 5 years.

Arrival Description

By car: Along the A8 to the Traunstein/Siegsdorf exit, then drive in the direction of Ruhpolding, Inzell (B306); after 500m at the roundabout, drive again in the direction of Ruhpolding (St2098) and through Eisenärzt directly to Ruhpolding; in Ruhpolding, stay on the state road and drive through the tunnel in the direction of Reit im Winkl; across the roundabout to the only traffic light in Ruhpolding and there turn right onto Brander Str. turn right onto Brander Str.; drive on Brander Str. past the swimming pool and the Gasthof Windbeutelgräfin until you reach the crossroads Brandstätterstr. and turn right there; go straight over the small bridge for approx. 300m then turn left onto EisenbergerStr; after 50m keep left (almost straight ahead) and you are on the road Am Adlerhügel; continue straight on for 80m and your destination is on the left-hand side; the car park is directly to the right of the entrance. By train: Take the train to Traunstein and then change to the regional train to Ruhpolding; take a taxi at the station in Ruhpolding and let it take you to Adlerhügel; it makes sense to order the taxi in advance (08663 1000). The regional train only runs every hour, so you can also be taken by taxi from Traunstein if necessary (e.g. 0861 2606).
